The Extreme Wheels project is organised and managed by park regulars & friends and is supported by Carterton Town Council, local businesses, churches, Carterton Youth Council and various community volunteers. We particularly want to thank EX Stores, SS20 and Rapture Entertainment for their kind donation of several prizes for EW09. Our sound engineer recorded the live show with a view to mixing and producing a CD album that could be stored in the Town Council archives as a Memento of the project and also could be available to buy in local music stores. This CD has now been produced by Kevin Ross, on behalf of the Extreme Wheels project team and with kind permission from all featured artists. Kevin Ross can be contacted at Kevin.Ross@revolsound.co.uk. The CD is on sale for just £3.99, all proceeds will be kindly donated to the Carterton Extreme Wheels Project. The CDs are available to buy from Carterton Town Hall, Rapture Entertainment in Witney and from our online store. |

The Extreme Wheels Project team met in September to disuss the pros and cons of the 2009 event and to consider possibilities for the next Extreme Wheels festival in Summer 2010. There was a unanimous agreement to reform the project team and begin considering what was good and what wasn't good about Extreme Wheels 2009. The outcome of the meeting was that the core project team will be as follows ... Project Sponsor with overall responsibility - Adrian Coomber Project Chairman & Catering Manager - Mandy Williams Carterton Town Council representative - Cllr Emma Liston Technical Advisor/web solutions - Alex Oliver RAF Brize Norton representative - Lin Kennedy We will of course also be calling on a number of community volunteers from local businesses, Youth Council, churches etc. without whom the project would be virtually impossible to deliver. Project meetings will be open to the public and press will be invited to attend, the first meeting will be in January, more details to follow. |
